Dr Thomas Lodi – The Miracle Doctor whose team reversed my mum’s Stage 4 Colon Cancer

When I knew about my mum’s terminal colon cancer condition, and then heard about Dr. Thomas Lodi who had helped many Stage 4 cancer patients achieve remission, I turned the web upside down for information on theg rod  and I couldn’t find much consolidated information about him. It is a good thing I knew someone whose Stage 4 liver cancer was reversed by Dr Lodi, or we might have missed this chance to save my mum.

Why mainstream medical knowledge and statistics gave my mum a death sentence, while Doctor Lodi provided hope. My mum received 11 weeks of treatments under Dr Lodi’s team of Thai doctors (he is the consultant while the team of Thai doctors administer the treatment). After concluding the treatment, her CEA cancer markets dropped from 16.5 to 2 (already normal yay! As the reference range is 0-5). Yes,  I went home to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to check this out, and CEA cancer makers were also 2 in Singapore.

So, I feel a need to share what i now know about Dr. Lodi so that people who are considering alternative cancer treatments can have a more detailed understanding about Dr Lodi and his background.

Dr Thomas Lodi and my mum - Day 1 at the clinic

Dr Thomas Lodi and my mum – Day 1 at the clinic, obliging my mum with a photo.

Firstly, these are Dr Lodi’s qualifications:

“Dr. Thomas Lodi has been practicing medicine for 30 years. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, School of Medicine in 1985, he served as a visiting Clinical Fellow at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City where he also
underwent training in Internal Medicine. From 1991 to 1996, he was appointed as Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, School of Medicine.

For the first ten years of his medical career, Dr. Lodi worked in conventional settings as an internal medicine specialist, urgent care physician, and as an intensivist in ICU and CCU departments of various hospitals. Subsequently, he continued his search for more effective and less toxic therapies by training around the world in Japan, Europe, Mexico and all around the US.

Although he occasionally sees patients with a variety of medical conditions, he has narrowed his scope of practice through specific training and extensive experience over the past 15 years to Integrative Oncology (caring for people with cancer).”

“Dr. Thomas Lodi  maintains memberships in both conventional and alternative medical professional associations in order to remain current in all areas of oncology for the benefit of his patients. He is licensed as a Homeopathic Medical Doctor MD(H) in the State of Arizona and is licensed as an Allopathic Medical Doctor (MD) in the state of New York.  Dr Lodi has completed a Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapies and a Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative & Functional Medicine.  Dr Lodi sits on the Scientific Advisory Board for Immunogenic Research Foundation (IMREF), the Medical Advisory Board for Elka Best Foundation, and is an active-allied member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).   Dr Lodi is also an instructor in Insulin Potentiation Therapy and certified in oxidative and chelation therapies.”

Dr Lodi is also both a founding member and a Medical Advisory Board member of IOICP (International Organization of Integrative Cancer Physicians).

So now that we are sure Dr Lodi is a REAL medical doctor, I did an interview with him to find out more about this man behind all the anti-cancer talks:

Dr Lodi, thanks for agreeing to the interview. Please tell us more about yourself. What is your background – What influenced you in your life to make the life choices you did?

I grew up in Hollywood where my mother was involved in making movies.  As a result I came to view people as ”playing roles”.  When I looked around at the roles that adults played, I had no interest in ‘playing’ lawyer, accountant, doctor or business man and neither did I have any desire to work with my hands.  I loved reading scriptures from all religions….I was drawn to a holy life.  India seemed the natural choice for me since it had very honorable roles for those seeking truth and their way back to God, so I sold everything I owned and moved to India.

So you you spent some time in India, before studying psychology then pursuing a medical degree? What made you decide on this spirit-mind-body journey in your life?

I returned to the US a couple of years later and went into psychology since the subject matter seemed close to my interests (human behavior) but after earning a master’s degree, I practiced for a few years only to find that I did not understand pathology or how medications affected people so I found myself handicapped with regards to helping people and progressively realized that I needed to attend medical school in order to complete my education regarding the human condition.

Of all the specialties in medicine, why did you choose to focus on cancer?

I did not choose oncology (cancer), it choose me. I was always drawn to people with cancer because, for the most part, they stop negotiating with life and surrender to the fact that they need guidance and help…that they need to change the way they live.

You are very busy running clinics running across different continents, having emergency calls about patients all the time. What motivates you to treat cancer? What makes you wake up every morning excited to go to work?

Cancer is a consequence of lifestyle and environment and so, clearly it is the way that we live that needs to change. Merely cutting out or irradiating cancer does not work for the vast majority of people.  Healing from cancer is really a journey, where like a snake, one needs to shed skin after skin of habit and false belief, while growing new ”skin”….they need to be completely open to another way of living and in that regard, cancer can be thought of as the great equalizer.  For those who don’t, I am afraid that outcomes are not as long lasting.

And in your (very rare) free time, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy the ocean, rivers, nature….I enjoy prayer and meditation…..I enjoy reading…..I am grateful and blessed to have been given such a life where I can help guide people out of the quagmire of ”disease” that seems to be surrounding all of us.

You advocate a raw vegan diet for healthy living and keeping cancer away. Which are your favourite raw vegan food and recipes?

I love so many raw, vegan dishes that it is impossible to name one….I love eating in harmony with nature….no other creature uses fire to degrade their food before ingesting it….I love the consequence of eating and living this way….that consequence is health…the foundation of all.
When health is absent wisdom cannot reveal itself,
Art cannot become manifest,
Strength cannot be exerted,
Wealth is useless and reason is powerless.

Sorry to have to ask this, but as many doctors who pursue alternative routes tend to have weird rumours about them, what would you say in response to rumours about you?

I assume that there will always be strange things written about me or anyone who is not ‘average’. But, if I am ever to be judged, it should be by what I teach and the results of my work. I live the same lifestyle that I recommend to all people with cancer (and those who do not want to develop cancer).

  • Go to sleep early
  • Wake up early
  • Meditate / pray
  • Read about health and healing
  • Exercise
  • Dont ingest toxins and limit unwanted exposure to toxins
  • Eat only uncooked, plant food (vegetables, nuts, seeds and fruit)as much as possible but at least 80% if you have not been diagnosed with cancer but 100% if you have.
  • Stay close to nature
  • Nurture and love family and friends

Among all the cancer patients you have treated over the years, are you able to share what type of cancer is the most challenging to treat?

The only challenging patients are those who are not willing to change….and there have been more than a few…..my real job is to teach and inspire.

Can the treatments at your clinic also help other health conditions other than cancer?

What we do at our centers involves some treatments which are applicable in any degenerative or acute process but most of all, we teach about healing….so, in response to your question, ”yes” almost anyone with any chronic condition can benefit such that their health condition becomes an historic, not current event.

In all your years of helping cancer patients, what would be the 1 advice you would give to help their recovery – if you could only pick 1?

My advice is always the same …. honor your health and love God.

To end off this entry, I would like to share 3 Youtube videos of a terminal breast cancer patient. Anna, whose condition was dramatically turned around by Dr Lodi. These 3 videos show her tremendous progress (and she remains cancer free today after many years), and I hope to encourage all cancer patients and caregivers that there IS hope. Keep the faith and don’t give up 🙂

  • Anna in 2008 Aug – Anna was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer with metastasis to her lungs and bones. Her family was advised to put her on hospice. Her lungs were collapsed and she couldn’t breath without oxygen.

  • Anna in 2009 Jan – Follow Anna’s amazing progress as she goes from near ending up in a hospice to being nearly cancer free.

  • Anna in 2010 Aug – 2 years after being treated by Dr. Thomas Lodi, Anna is very well and jogging like she used to in the army before she was diagnosed.

All the complementary treatments my mum underwent to put her cancer into remission:

  1. Raw DietVegan Diet and Juice Fast
  2. Electro Lymphatic Therapy (ELT)
  3. Colon Hydrotherapy (Colonics)
  4. Nefful Negative Ion Clothings from Japan
  5. Saline Flush, Coffee Enema, Wheatgrass Implant, Probiotic Implant
