III Café – Bring your Own Dog Café Review

As my parents were on a short trip, N and I brought Fluff out to explore pet friendly café. III café doesn’t have many food reviews even on their Facebook, but I decided to check it out and I am so glad I did!

We are greeted by the middle sister; she and the other staff are incredibly patient (my dog took about 10 minutes to be coaxed up the steps) and friendly, explaining the menu both for humans and dogs meticulously! The food for humans is ordered at the counter above, while the dog food is ordered at the ‘Barkery Café’, serving pork balls, chicken balls, liver paté, muffins among other foods. The café is also comfortable and cosy. Tip: Go early and get the black cushion booth seats – they are so comfortable for both human and dogs alike.

III Café is opened by 3 sisters and their logo is designed after a pitbull dog. The “III” represents the 3 sisters but the middle sister explains that they also want the café to stand for “Happy Dogs, Happy Owners, Happy Place/Environment”.

N and I have Japanese Curry Rice ($10.90) and Roasted Chicken with Summer salad and a choice of Fries ($12.90) respectively. The food is decent and quite good value, considering there are limited cafes you can bring pets to eat with the owners. I will recommend the roasted chicken between the two dishes; the chicken is well cooked and tender on the inside. We also share a cuttlefish ball ($5.90 for 5), which honestly taste like they cooked it from a frozen pack from NTUC Fairprice, but I guess the unique point of the cafe is being dog friendly and so, not complaining about the side dish.

Fluff has 3 chicken balls ($5) which she enjoys very much and slurp up quickly, after which she slouches on the black cushion booth seats comfortably.

If you have sociable dogs, he/she will be very happy in this café with open spaces to play with other dogs.

I would definitely bring fluff back to try other dishes! She enjoyed the food and it was also a fun excursion with her. The restaurant crew are true dog lovers, evident in their happy smiles feeding the dogs food and drinks and cheery disposition even when they are cleaning up after the dogs. And they will keep talking to you about their dogs as well! Also, I want to appreciate N who has had bad experiences with dogs, but kind enough to eat with Fluff and I while tolerating all the other dogs in the house!
