Project Açaí @ Holland Village

Project Açaí is Singapore’s first dedicated açaí superfood café. I love the cafe’s mission to show that it is not hard to eat and living healther in Singapore! It doesn’t always have to be a boring salad. In this case, the açaí bowl is an easy, energising and healthy option as either a meal, dessert, or snack! If you were like me pre-healthy lifestyle days, you will probably go – What is Acai? (pronounced ah-sigh-ee). The açaí berry grows on palm trees native to the Amazon rainforest, and its taste is a blend of wild berries and dark chocolate. The açaí fruit has up to 10 times more antioxidants than blueberries, is a great vegan source of essential fats, and helps to control cholesterol. It’s high in fibre, and low GI, not spiking the blood sugar. Açaí is also high in antioxidants, omegas 3, 6 and 9 (anti inflammatory!) and high in fibre.
