After all our crazy hard work in Singapore, it is always important to sharpen our saw and take a pit stop for a long marathon. So for those planning for your upcoming December holidays, these are our top villa vacation stays in across Thailand and Bali. And yes, I admit I have a bias to modern looking boutique villa architecture 🙂
1) Villa Noi @ Phuket
Villa Noi is a private family holiday villa. It is the most luxurious villa I have ever been to; there are really only 3 villas on almost 2000 square meters of land. Villa Noi has a private chef, driver and manager. I am still confirming how the public books this villa and will update shortly!
A boutique resort with only around 10 very private rooms and villas. Sala Khaoyai is our second favourite because it is set in the mountains, which also means it can get to under 20 degrees celcius at night, so you get to enjoy the temperate weather and vineyards within a 2.5 hour drive of Bangkok.
Very private spacious villas with up to 3 rooms configuration and a good size private pool in each villa. They even make breakfast for you within the villa. Great for families!
One of the quietest resorts I have been to despite having many villas. Very smart use of space to ensure privacy as people living on second floor will not be able to see the private pool on the first floor.
We stayed in the cheaper duplex in Aleenta but this interior duplex still boasted an linked infinity pool shared with 7 other duplexes. Love the completely private feel on the second floor overlooking the infinity pool and beach.
Ubud is the most rainforesty and un-modern villa in this list but it is the most spacious villa compound, with only 108 rooms on hectares of land, so there is a lot of space to roam and explore. Also my best relaxing spa experience in South East Asia.
Spacious villas split into 2 sections, with 1 section being more family friendly. Impeccable service and 1 minute from the beach!
Premium villas with private pool and solid wood furnishings. Villas are relatively close to each other compared to others in this list but still makes for a peaceful, quiet stay within Khaoyai National Park.
Please share with us your favourite stays in Thailand and Bali and we might visit to feature it on our next trip!
